The Uganda Cranes COSAFA team conducted their final training at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo on Tuesday prior to flying out this Wednesday to Durban City, South Africa for the ongoing tournament.
The 29-man contingent led by Richard Ochom has 20 players and 9 officials. According to stand-in Head coach Abdullah Mubiru, every selected player is ready to give his best in the COSAFA Championship.
“The players know the value of team work. I have full confidence in my players and I expect them to deliver,” noted Mubiru, who is handling the team in the absence of Head coach Sebastien Desabre currently in Abu Dhabi with the Uganda Cranes AFCON Squad.
The team has been in residential training for the last 2 weeks and played a practice match with Western Region Select team in between which won 1-0 in Bushenyi.
